I'm excited to conduct the second movement of the Bernstein Chichester Psalms at St. Thomas Medina, next month for Chorister Sunday, (just the first half). So neat to see Bernstein conduct this himself in this clip. And I will have a girl sing the solo. So glad we are in the 21st century...girls OR boys can sound equally grand on it.
And is it weird that the name 'Chichester' makes me think of my cat Chester? (automatically insert a yes). Almost like, saying Chester with a stutter? Regardless, I decided to post one of my favorite pictures of him...yes, I am a music dork, and a crazy cat lady...go figure.
